Solo Album: Missing Pieces to Multipolar Imperturbability
Gabriel’s Solo Debut Album is out now!
Crossing genres, exploring acoustic environments, and challenging traditional songwriting, Gabriel Amadeus Hahn’s daring and spirited solo debut Missing Pieces to Multipolar Imperturbability is a bold dive into multilingual identity, rapidly shifting world orders, and slow transformation. The album comes to life through a first-class Berlin jazz crossover lineup and innovative experimental songwriting that reshapes both musical and narrative boundaries.
about
Gabriel Amadeus Hahn’s album, Missing Pieces to Multipolar Imperturbability, is a musical and narrative exploration of multilingual identity, personal reevaluation, new world (dis)orders, information overexposure, the global climate crisis, good-old-world nostalgia, the urge for a sense of home and the dissolution into nowhere. Embracing the abstract, the abrupt, and occasionally the absurd, the music draws influences from jazz, rock, experimental, minimal and contemporary classical music. Each of the “missing pieces” seeks its own unique transformative flow.
This short album, Hahn’s solo debut, is deeply influenced by his relocation from Europe to Asia. Featuring high-profile instrumentalists Kalle Kalima on guitar, Bela Meinberg on keys, Niklas Lukassen on bass, Sebastian Merk on drums, and James Scannell on woodwinds, alongside Hahn on vocals, various percussion instruments, synthesizer, and prepared piano, the album also captures a snapshot of Berlin’s vibrant, multi-genre contemporary music scene.
Missing Pieces to Multipolar Imperturbability was recorded and produced in Berlin, Germany, and Taipei, Taiwan, between the summers of 2022 and 2024.
